| Our Mission At St. John's we are contenders in the battles of everyday life to carry forth the light of Christ and have it shine brightly. We pray that God will guide our hearts and minds and souls to be witnesses to the life giving power of Christ. We are called to be servants in the service of the Lord of love and light. The image of light for the people here at St. John's is important. Light cannot be shut out; it shines through the tiniest crack to give brightness and illuminate. We the people of St. John's strive to be like that light which shines the love of Christ to people around us, regardless of barriers between us. No matter what the fears, biases, or fences that we have around us, we are people together in Christ. We fight to inspire the world to seek the life and joy as God desires for us. We struggle to be beacons of hope against the destructive forces that surround us in these uncertain days.
